Quote of the Post: "Albert Hall Museum is one of the finest and oldest museum of Rajasthan, located in Jaipur City." - Quote about Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur by Sachin Kumar Gupta

After visiting City Palace and Jantar Mantar, we reached Albert Hall Museum during our visit to Pink CityIt was named after King Adward VII (Albert Edward) and foundation was laid by Prince of Wales. It is said that this old and famous museum was modeled on the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Its collection includes portraits of local kings, costumes, woodcarvings, paintings, and arts & crafts. It is also called the Government Central Museum, which is the home for the art of Jaipur.

Location: Ram Niwas Bagh, south of the Old City, Jaipur. The building is situated in Ram Niwas Garden outside the city wall opposite New gate. Being in the center of the city, one can reach the Albert Hall Museum from all directions easily.

Entry Fee: INR 20 and additional INR 50 ($1) for a camera. This is also part of Composite Entry Ticket. At some places photography isn't allowed.

Albert Hall Museum Timings: 9:00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. daily. One can also take a virtual tour of the museum. The Virtual Tour takes you through the museum giving you a glimpse of the courtyards and different galleries with a commentary about its display, collections and history.

The best time of the day to visit the hall is during evening, where you can enjoy the architectural beauty with sunset; or a horse ride if you wish to. Albert Hall Museum also provides shelter to a large number of pigeons. Pigeons can be seen on terrace of the hall all round the year. People also feed pigeons at the nearby roads.

This unique museum is very well maintained, and is divided into lower and upper part. The museum has a rich collection of artifacts like paintings, carpets, ivory work, stone, armory, metal sculptures, colorful crystal works etc. Within the museum, we also visited 'Dolls Museum', Egyptian Mummy, Egypt collection, arms and armors. The mummy is the most popular of all the items displayed in the museum. It fascinated all my family members and for me, it was a recall of my visit to EgyptDolls museum contains a large number of lovely dolls and toys which has been collected from various countries representing different cultures across the world. The Dolls Museum in Jaipur attracts the tourists from various countries by its striking beauty of the collection of dolls from the traditions of several countries.

We took many snaps inside the museum, and some outside the museum. This place also houses a wonderful restaurant where we had our evening snacks. After that we enjoyed shopping at Nehru Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, and further visited Govind Devji Temple and Hawa Mahal near City Palace.

On the third consecutive day, we enjoyed the Pyramids from our hotel window. As We have to catch the flight on the last day eve itself. So with good sense, we checked-out from the hotel in the morning itself.

We started our tour with the entry into Coptic Cairo city area. We have a chance to quick visit to Babylon Fortress, the Coptic Museum, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George and many other Coptic churches and historical sites in this area.

Coptic museum holds the largest collection of Egyptian Christian artifacts in the world. The Hanging church (Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church) is one of the oldest church in Egypt. It is named due to its location above a gatehouse of Babylon Fortress. It can be seen from a place inside the church. It is believed that the Holy Family (Child Jesus, Virgin Mary, and Saint Joseph) visited this area and stayed at the site of Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (Abu Serga).

Later on we visited the nearby market for some Egypt key-rings, souvenirs and other stuff. Then we progressed towards the grand Cairo Citadel (The Saladin Citadel of Cairo), another most popular tourist destination. But still we have some time left to spare.

From here our driver and guide move us towards the Muqattam hill for a spectacular view of Cairo as the bonus place. If you have open eyes, you can have panoramic view to the stretched city with some sky crappers, along with great Pyramids and the Nile river in your coverage. The views from the hill were spectacular. Being the afternoon, and city being polluted and dusty day, The pyramids may not be pretty visible in the photographs.

Now its time to back to Cairo International airport. While returning we saw a pyramid-shaped monument in Nasr City, Cairo. This is known as "Unknown Soldier Memorial". This was just near the Cairo International Stadium. Finally we fly back to Larnaca (Cyprus) within our booked bird. We enjoyed the best of Egypt within 3 days as much as possible. It couldn't be better than this. The whole trip will remain like a unforgettable tour for all of us. Thanks to Ayu who insisted me to visit it.

This Shipwreck museum is inside the Kyrenia Castle. Some of us had some tea, coffee, snacks break after roaming all four sides of the Kyrenia Castle. You can buy the souvenirs from the shop inside the castle.

You can find some more visual arts inside the museum that let you understand the Girne castle structure and surrounding areas. The remains of the ancient ship can be viewed at the Shipwreck Museum, that was put as the heritage.

In some visual arts it is shown that how the work carried out to lift the Shipwreck to the surface. How expert scuba divers worked to accomplish the mission. Other than that you can find different shaped lamps, old age life representation at the nearby village, model of burial site, gold jewelry  coins and various ceramics. Some of us were capturing the snaps such that we 'seem to be roaming in the old age village'. I found it worth watching at least once (average).

Wanna to have a look to other places in North Cyprus.
