Kanpur Zoological Park (also known as Allen Forest Zoo) is a 77-hectare (190-acre) zoo in Kanpur, the industrial hub of Uttar Pradesh in North India. It is the largest open green space in Kanpur. Originally a natural habitat for fauna, it is one of the few zoos in India created in a natural forest. This is situated at Nawabganj.

As per last info, It is closed on Monday, and is opens from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m for rest of the days of week.
We had visited this with family, and It was Pathik's first zoo visit. It has huge variety of wildlife, different varieties of birds. It is good to see that Cleanliness is given due importance here. You are not allowed to carry plastic bags. Even packaging of biscuits and namkeen are also not allowed. There is also a toy train for children, which runs from the battery. When we visited, it was not ON that day. In total, it is a good place to celebrate family picnic. This is also a good place for photography enthusiasts, and here you will find many different types of scenes that you would like to capture in your camera. A big statue of dynasaur is also present. Water birds are is at amazing area with lots of park. The zoo includes an aquarium too.
Here you will get to see the different types of parrots, birds, wild animals etc. The zoo include endangered Asian tigers, cheetahs, leopards, jaguar, hyenas, black bears, grizzly bears, sloths, the great Indian rhinoceros, hippopotamuses, various species of primates like chimpanzees, orangutans, langurs and baboons, musk deer, zebras, and many antelope species. Some monkeys and deer are allowed to roam outside the enclosures as natural inhabitants of the zoo. There are many food corners inside the zoo. So you can have a party with your friends or family.
It was a fun-filled experience with Pathik and family. This place is must visit for kids and wildlife lovers.
